7 People were injured last night during a drive-by shooting in Mesa, Arizona.. Officials say the incident occurred at about 9:30 PM Local time, when a small SUV drove up, rolled down its windows, and started shooting near some food vendors .Those injured include three children and a one year old who remains in critical condition.
The suspect has yet to be identified, and authorities are still investigating the incident. Officials in Armenia have accused Azerbaijan of breaking a newly imposed ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh region which has been claimed by both countries. The two sides have been at war since the collapse of the Soviet Union and tensions between the two former Soviet states have recently escalated. The newest ceasefire was implemented at 12:00 AM local time, but the fighting resumed four minutes later. Azerbaijan has yet to comment
In sports, the Tampa Bay Rays are headed to their second World Series in franchise history. The team manage to defeat the Houston Astros in Seven games, despite blowing a a 3-0 lead prior to tonight’s match.. The Rays last appeared in the World Series in 2008, when the team faced the Philadelphia Phillies, who would go on to win the series. The Rays will face the winner of tomorrow’s game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves.
Florida Gators Coach Dan Mullen has tested positive for COVID-19. The team had experienced an outbreak of the virus earlier this week forcing them to postpone a game against LSU to December. Mullen is the seventh FBS Coach to test positive and the second one this week
