* President Donald Trump announced today that he has pardoned 26 individuals including Former Campaign Manager Paul Manafort, and Roger Stone. Manafort and Stone were both convinced as part of Robert Mueller’s Investigation into the President’s ties with Russia. Manafort was convicted for fraud while Stone was found guilty for lying and witness tampering. Stone’s sentence had previously been commuted, but now it appears, his record has been wiped clean
* New York City is ordering visitors from several countries, including the United Kingdom to Quarantine for 14 days as the spread of COVID-19 continues. Upon arrival, Travelers will be required to fill out a form with an address, and visitors from the United Kingdom, will receive a visit from City Sheriff, who will visit every home to ensure that travelers are following the guidelines as The news comes as a new strain of the virus, one in the United Kingdom, and one in Australia, are wreaking havoc.
* In Sports, the NBA Season has begun. Last night the Golden State Warriors took on the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center, where the Nets demolished the Warriors 125-99. The Nets new duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving combined for a total of 48 points to help lead the Nets to victory. The night concluded with a Intercity Battle at the Staples Center, where the Clippers beat the Los Angeles Lakers 116-109.
* Also in the NBA, the Houston Rockets season opener was postponed after several players were ordered to quarantine. The news comes as James Harden is being investigated by the league for reportedly violating league protocols. The Rockets were set to face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder, with no word on when that game will be played.
