I’m Marcus Pearl and here are the stories making headlines around the world  An intelligence Report released by the Biden Administration implicates the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman, in the murder of reporter Jamal Khashoggi. Khashoggi, who was murdered in 2018 in a capture or kill mission by the Saudis, was close to the Saudi Royal family, until a falling out in 2017, when he put himself in a self-imposed exile. The death of the reporter caused a serious strain in relations between the U.S. and the Saudi Arabian Kingdom, which today rejected the report, contained "Inaccurate information and conclusions".  In the past, the U.S. supported the Saudis due to their oil, but due to fracking and new regulations, the need for Saudi oil has become obsolete. I’m Marcus Pearl and here are the stories making headlines around the world   The United States has reached another grim milestone today as Deaths from COVID-19 have surpassed 500,000. In a speech to the nation today, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris held a candlelight vigil today to honor those who died as a result of this pandemic. In a speech, Biden  said Americans should “remember those we lost and remember those we left behind” and that the only way we fight this is if we fight as “one people”.   In Myanmar, hundreds of thousands have taken to the streets in a general strike in order to defy the military, which had overthrown the government three weeks ago. On February 1st, the Burmese Military orchestrated a coup and detained President Aung San Suu Kyi over alleged electoral fraud.
