  • An intelligence Report released by the Biden Administration implicates the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman, in the murder of reporter Jamal Khashoggi. Khashoggi, who was murdered in 2018 in a capture or kill mission by the Saudis, was close to the Saudi Royal family, until a falling out in 2017, when he put himself in a self-imposed exile. The death of the reporter caused a serious strain in relations between the U.S. and the Saudi Arabian Kingdom, which today rejected the report, contained "Inaccurate information and conclusions".  In the past, the U.S. supported the Saudis due to their oil, but due to fracking and new regulations, the need for Saudi oil has become obsolete. Despite campaigning on a tougher stance, President Biden decided against punishing the kingdom, fearing it could further strain the already tense relationship Between the two countries. 


  • In Syria, U.S. Forces carried out coordinated airstrike against Iranian-backed forces last night, after rocket attack killed one soldier and five contractors stationed in Iraqi Kurdistan last week. The Strike comes on the heels of Biden's hope that the U.S. and Iran would recommit to the JCPOA, which former President Trump withdrew from in 2018 The Strike was met with conflicting reactions. Senate  Republican leader Mitch McConnell, said that Biden acted "well within the authorities of his office.",  while Democratic Leaders were more frustrated with the decision, most notably Senator Tim Kaine who felt that any military action should not occur without Congressional approval, barring "extraordinary circumstances" 


  • In Sports, Tiger Woods says he's in Good spirits, after receiving more operations at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, where he was moved on Wednesday Night. Woods suffered multiple leg injuries in a single car accident on Tuesday, in which firefighters reduced Woods using a Halligan tool and an axe. Woods had Been in Los Angeles filming as part of his deal with Golf Digest and the Discovery Channel, and had been leaving the course when the accident occurred.


  • Brooklyn Nets Star Kevin Durant will miss the 2021 NBA All-Star Game after the Nets decided to pull Durant from the lineup until after the upcoming Break, due to the results of an additional MRI of his injured hamstring. Durant was replaced By Indiana Forward Domantis Sabonis, and Boston Star Jason Tatum, will take his place in the starting lineup. No word on who will replace Durant as the team's captain, which will make its selections next Thursday. The game will Be played on March 8th, in a spectator-less event.
